RESOLUTION
Resolution marks the completion of a cycle—an ending that naturally gives rise to a new beginning. Life unfolds in cycles, both subtle and profound. Some span days or seasons, others stretch across years or entire phases of our growth. Each one carries us through experiences that shape who we are and who we are becoming.
These cycles rarely move in straight lines. Often, we find ourselves circling back to familiar challenges—not because we’ve failed, but because there is still something to learn. Life has a way of repeating what remains unresolved, inviting us again and again to grow, to refine our understanding, and to shift our perspective. When we meet these recurring patterns with awareness, we gain insight. And with that insight comes resolution—not just an ending, but a sense of clarity and closure that liberates us to move forward. It is in this way that cycles don’t simply repeat; they spiral upward, offering new depth each time we return.
Interestingly, resolution also refers to clarity—like the sharpness of an image, the definition of what we see. As we evolve, so does the resolution of our perception. We begin to notice the subtleties: the emotions beneath our reactions, the patterns within our choices, the quiet guidance of intuition. What was once vague becomes defined. What was hidden becomes visible.
This clarity of perception is what allows us to resolve not just the cycle, but also the internal fog that may have kept us stuck. We start to experience life with sharper insight, deeper compassion, and a renewed sense of connection to ourselves and others. Resolution, then, is both an ending and an awakening. It is the point at which something completes, and yet it also becomes the ground from which something new can arise—with greater awareness, integrity, and truth.
As we move through the cycles of our lives, may we honour each ending not with resistance, but with reverence. May we meet each transition with the willingness to see clearly and the courage to grow. And in doing so, may we live not in repetition, but in evolution—ever spiralling toward greater wholeness and clarity.
