Clusters of Energy - MANIPURA CHAKRA
🔥 NAVEL CHAKRA – MANIPURA 🔥
The third universal force in nature is fire—also known as combustion. It’s the spark of transformation, fuelling change in both the material world and the subtle body. Fire is the origin of our assimilative power—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Located in the abdomen, the Manipura Chakra governs digestion—not only of food but of life experience. It represents our solar energy, the radiant internal sun that ancient Yogis considered a major centre of power, perception, and energetic distribution in the body.
Manipura is associated with personal power, willpower, and self-esteem. When balanced, it brings confidence, motivation, and the ability to manifest intentions. A person with a strong Manipura often feels empowered, assertive, and directed—radiating charisma and purpose.
When imbalanced, it may manifest as:
Deficiency: low self-worth, helplessness, lack of direction, fatigue, anxiety, or depression.
Excess: aggression, controlling behaviour, dominance, and burnout.
Physical symptoms: digestive issues, liver imbalances, blood sugar disorders like diabetes.
In Traditional Hatha Yoga, the primary technique to awaken and balance Manipura is Uddiyana Bandha—a potent physical method that stimulates and directs pranic energy. On subtler levels, Rudrani Kriya and mantra practice can refine and stabilise this inner fire. The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra speaks directly to the qualities of this chakra, and the bija mantra (seed sound) is RAM—the sonic key that harmonises its frequency.
Additional tools for balance include:
Practicing self-care and discipline
Setting healthy boundaries
Engaging in creative expression
Taking aligned action in the world
By bringing awareness and reverence to Manipura, we access our inner strength, reclaim personal power, and awaken the fire of purposeful living.
