Clusters of Energy - Anahata Chakra

The Anahata Chakra, or heart centre, is located in the middle of the chest and is symbolised by a green lotus with twelve petals. Governed by the element of air, it relates to the lungs, heart, and circulatory system—and is the energetic seat of love, compassion, and empathy.

Just as the breath bridges the seen and unseen worlds, Anahata serves as the gateway between our earthly self (the lower three chakras) and our higher self (the upper three). It is where our humanity and our divinity meet.

When this chakra is balanced, we feel open, loving, and emotionally connected—to ourselves, to others, and to life. We’re able to give and receive love without fear, show genuine compassion, and live from a place of forgiveness and inner peace.

When out of balance, however, different expressions can arise. An overactive Anahata may lead to attachment, jealousy, or a tendency to lose oneself in relationships. A deficient Anahata might show up as emotional numbness, difficulty in trusting, or an inability to fully connect. In both cases, the flow of love—within and outward—is disrupted.

Anahata invites us to open our hearts and soften the walls we build. It reminds us that love is not something we earn or control—it is something we remember and return to.
