Bianca Ducharme
Meet Bianca
Hi, I’m Bianca, a women’s health Pilates specialist, prenatal yoga teacher, birth doula, former social worker and mum of two. Whether you join me for Mat Pilates or my prenatal program, I support you to build strength in your body and steadiness in your mind.
Movement has always drawn me in: the rush of blood flow, the post-workout tiredness, the sense of accomplishment. But after years of gym and linear training that overlooked my posture and movement habits, I had a severe lower back disc injury at 25. Pilates was recommended to help me build deeper core strength and better posture to support my back. I started with a mat class at my local gym, noticed a difference within weeks, and I was hooked.
That experience led me to train as an instructor, and I started teaching Pilates in 2014, including clinical Pilates in physio clinics. I quickly specialised in pre- and postnatal classes at Fluid Form in Clovelly, Papaya Women’s Health Clinic and studios across Sydney. In 2016, during my first pregnancy, I discovered prenatal yoga, which was a godsend, preparing me for birth and postpartum, physically and even more so mentally. Around the same time, I started my own business in Coogee, teaching private Pilates and outdoor pre- and postnatal classes for local mums. I loved the sense of community and connection in those classes, and watching friendships grow beyond them.
My love for yoga kept growing, and I went on to train as a yoga and prenatal yoga teacher. Deepening my practice and self-study has been an awakening, and peeling back the layers to reach more of myself has been so liberating. I hope to help other women do the same.
Since moving to the Shire in 2025, Bhav has felt like home. My Mat Pilates class is open to everyone and grounded in traditional and modern Pilates principles, rather than a fitness-style class. It’s intentional and breath-led, and it meets you where you are. Over time, you’ll deepen your body awareness, strengthen your postural muscles and build your body-mind connection, so you can take the Pilates principles off the mat and into everyday life, where they matter most.
My Embodied4™ Prenatal classes begin with a women’s circle, a space to connect with other mums-to-be, followed by a complete prenatal yoga practice. You’ll strengthen your relationship with yourself and your inner wisdom, deepen your connection with your baby and increase your capacity to steady your mind. You’ll feel supported as your body changes and as you prepare for birth, and you’ll carry that calm with you beyond it.
Wherever you are in your journey, you’re welcome here, exactly as you are, and I’d love to meet you.
